The event was originally booked with a different manager at MFrog but Satomi Nakasone came through for us and it turned out to be a fun night. Not only was it the manager but pretty much the whole staff had gotten changed, including the soundman. To the rescue came Mr. Jack of all Trades - Rage Tropicana.
UCHU NEKO played their first show with a drummer, that being Kan-chan (ONE HUNDRED BLUE). I thought they played a rather good set of their brand of space reggae funk but Kazu didn't seemed to happy with it.
OSTOOANDELL are a band that you should be on the look out for! Crafty pop meets punk rock-n-roll, hints of SHONEN KNIFE, THE VELVET UNDERGROUND, and THE RAMONES.
SASPIRILLA played one of their best shows yet. Weldon & Kazuro blazed the stage with that punk fury that Okinawa City hasn't seen since the Champs' days. Shinobu shined on drums and he made quite a few new fans that night.
ONE HUNDRED BLUE played a mellow sit down set. Louie pulled it off and I believe people took notice of his songwriting talents. Yutaka played some pretty crafty lead guitar as well. OHB's set ended in a jam session and Nate "the cameraman" has captured that spontaneous moment with quite a few photos that have been floating around as of lately.
After party was at Tropicana and you know that was a good time!
