Supposedly Richie from Center Stage in Nakanomachi wanted us to put together a show for June 17th. A couple of days before the show he asks if we can start the show @ 2AM so he can have the strippers dance until midnight. Obviously that wasn't gonna work so we thought we were fucked but to the rescue came Satomi Nakasone and MFrog.
I guess things didn't work out with Kan-chan (ONE HUNDRED BLUE) on drums cause UCHU NEKO was back to being just Kazu on vox/guitar and Hayato on bass. In the middle of their set some G.I.Joe asked if he could get up on stage and fill in on drums. It sounded really good and his style fit the band perfectly. I saw them trading phone numbers before he left, could be promosing in the future.
SASPIRILLA played a crazy set with Kazuro dancing more than playing guitar. He seemed like he was having fun, he sure did entertain Rage (soundman once again - Thank You!). Near the end of the set, Weldon broke the top bass string so he threw the bass aside and picked up the mic and for a minute it seemed like a STOOPIDLY YOURS flashback. Hayato (UCHU NEKO) handed Weldon his bass and SASPIRILLA finished the set with "Social Gathering Of Sleep Walking Mummies", their contribution to the 2005 Christmas Sampler CDR.
ONE HUNDRED BLUE played a very friendly set with Louie doing a lot of commentary. Once again Yutaka shined with some really slick lead guitar. Once again OHB ended with a jam session, leaning more toward the blues so up to the stage came Inufaku-san (VIOLET FIELDS). It was a nice way to end the event: Inafuku-san (VIOLET FIELDS) on guitar, Kazu (UCHU NEKO) on harmonica, and a revolving cast of singers and musicians.
